25. Decrease the tilt lever, and pull the steering wheel toward you. Insert a flat-tip screwdriver alongside the information of the column lower cover, and pry the retaining tab of the column upper cover.
26. Push on the column lower cowl within the space shown to separate the column upper cowl from the column decrease cowl (three retaining tabs). Pull up to remove the column upper cover (two hooks).
27. Take away the column lower cowl (two self-tapping screws and one screw).
28. Push the retaining tab from the vehicle white 34-pin connector, and lift the lock lever from connector. Remove the connector from the fuse box. Shut the lock lever on the automobile white 34-pin connector and remove the cover by sliding it from the connector.
29. Insert the 2 swap harness terminals into the white/pink terminal and blue terminal of the car white 34-pin connector.
30. Reinstall the automobile white 34-pin connector.
31. Route the change harness above the car knee bolster.
32. Plug the relay into the switch harness relay block, then slide the relay block onto the car bracket stay.
33. Find the 1-pin connector blue-taped to the car harness. Plug the change harness 1-pin connector into the automobile 1-pin connector.
34. Safe the switch harness to the car harness and vehicle knee bolster with three wire ties in the areas shown.
35. Decrease the lean lever and pull the steering wheel towards you.
36. Turn the steering wheel ninety° counterclockwise.
37. Unplug the automobile 12-pin connector from the mix light switch. Take away the two screws from the mixture light switch. Whereas pushing the retaining tab, slide the mix mild change out, and remove it from the steering column. Do not pull on the lever when eradicating the case. Do not damage the tab gap of the steering column.
38. Set up the new mixture light change on the steering column using the two screws. Maintain the case by hand, then install the brand new mixture light switch to the steering column. Do not push on the lever when putting in the case. Push in on the case and securely set the retaining tab into the tab hole.
39. Plug the vehicle 12-pin connector to the new switch. Change the automobile harness.
40. Set up the 20 A fuse into the fuse field in the location shown. If the fuse is already put in, it isn’t necessary to install the 20 A fuse.
41. Test that all wire harnesses are routed correctly and all connectors are plugged in.
42. Reinstall all eliminated parts.
43. Join the negative cable to the battery and examine operation of all lights and different electrical accessories.
44. Enter the anti-theft codes for the audio system and the navigation system (if equipped), and reset the radio station presets.
45. Reset the clock on automobiles with out navigation.
